Mac Users

To use our desktop ACORD forms software, Forms Boss Plus, on a Mac, you will have to install Windows XP or higher on your Mac.  To do so, you must own a copy of Windows (XP or later) and you must also use a special utility to allow your Mac to run Windows.  There are several options for this utility:

·      Boot Camp is a free utility from Apple that allows you to boot up using either Windows or Mac OS.  You can install Boot Camp at http://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp/.  (The website FAQ section explains how this feature works.) To utilize Forms Boss Plus, you will need to boot your computer in Windows. 

·      If you prefer, it is also possible to run the Windows operating system within a “window” of Mac OS, rather than booting up your computer entirely in Windows mode.  However, instead of a free utility, this option requires the purchase of a software package that allows for this convenient feature.  There are two popular packages for this functionality:

2.    VMware Fusion - http://www.vmware.com/products/fusion/
