What is an ACORD Form?

ACORD forms are produced by a non profit organization in Pearl River New York by a team of legal experts to make sure they conform to all state and local laws.  They license their forms to a few select vendors such as us.  You can rest assured that you are downloading genuine and authentic ACORD forms.

These ACORD forms are used in the property and casualty Insurance business for a variety of purposes.  Such as applications for home owners and auto coverage to commercial usages such as workers compensation and liability coverages.

One of the biggest usages is for binding policies and certification of insurance as well as proof of insurance.  For instance, general contractors must often prove that they are bonded and have sufficient insurance coverage before being allowed to work on a construction job.  In this instance they'll need to have their insurer to produce an ACORD form number 25 "Certificate of Insurance".  This form lists the carrier and the amounts of coverages in case of accidents and so forth.
